Busy, but sleepy day!

Last night, Reece slept for 6 1/2 hours! Woo Hoo!
Today, we went to lunch at Ashley's school - after crying the entire drive there, he was in good spirits while we ate with the nice teachers at Sylvan Elementary. Ashley's teaching partners, Pam and Holly also got to hold him!
After lunch, Reece and I went to Wildwood. I'm such a doofus and forgot to take the stroller, so we just sat in the shade, and he slept. Then we went to Kohls to buy some blue pants! I have no blue pants for this kid! He slept while we shopped, too.
THEN- we stopped at Christ the King so I could pick up some books and we visited all of the wonderful teachers there. He slept some of the time we were there, too.
During most of the day, Reece seemed to sleep.
I went running at 7 and he slept from 7 until 845, I have a feeling it's going to be a long night. Especially since he just now fell asleep in his swing at 930. Maybe it's a growth spurt and he'll sleep until 5 am?!?

Visitors!

This morning, I decided to stay up with Reece when he woke up at 6:30. I need to get myself used to waking up earlier since I go back to work in a week and a half. While I enjoyed my morning cup of coffee, Reece enjoyed some tummy time while we watched Saved by the Bell! If you look very close you can see that he was so excited to see Zach and Kelly get back together, that he started drooling!

Around noon, Aunt Shelly, Aunt Rebekah and cousin Joey stopped by for a visit! Joey is only 1 week younger than Reece...yet he looks smaller! Joey is long and skinny, while Reece is not quite so long...and a bit chunky! But they're both super cute!

We didn't pose them like this, they both just put their arms in the same position and looked right, towards the window! Reece definitely has the chubbier cheeks...but Joey has HUGE eyes!

I didn't post yesterday, but Reece spent some time in his bouncy seat. He REALLY likes it.
We also went to Grandma Susie and Grandpa Mark's for dinner. It was Grandma's birthday! Reece was all smiles for them when we were getting ready to leave. Luckily, Colleen and the boys were there to see him smile too...since he wasn't so happy on Monday when they came over.
Tomorrow, Reece and I are going to Aunt Ashley's school to have lunch with her!

And...sadly, only 11 more days until I go back to work :(
Reece sure would like to spend one whole day each week with his Grandma Susie! (hint, hint!)

2 Month Dr. Appointment

Reece's doctor appointment went well today! Dr. Toni said he is "perfect"!!

Here's the stats:

Height: 23.5 inches (80th percentile)

Weight: 13lbs 4 oz (75th percentile)

Head Circumference 40cm (50th percentile)

Looks like Reece may be taking after his Uncle Bill!

All of that screaming wore him out. I was exhausted from the crying (his and mine) afterwards as well. I've decided that little babies should not get shots. Luckily, he was all smiles when he woke up.

A little tylenol and some food and he's back asleep. We're having visitors this afternoon-Colleen and the boys are coming over and so are Uncle Bill and Aunt Andrea!

Pee!

Finally! Don got pee'd on during a diaper change! It's about time!

Let me just remind you...the ENTIRE first week that we were home, I seriously got pee'd on during every.single.diaper.change. Don would just gloat around the house. So finally, at a little over 2 months, he finally got what was coming to him!

(and, he didn't really get it on him, but it happened while he was changing him-close enough in my book)

3 miles!

Just want to toot my own horn...I ran 3 miles today. And, I didn't even stop to walk! Sadly, it probably took me 30+ minutes...but I don't know for sure since I need a new watch battery. But still....3 miles! Wahoo!
Oh-and during this time, Don and Reece stayed home to watch football. They were both wearing their Ohio State gear! Such cuties! I'll have to get a picture of them next weekend.

2 months old!

Yesterday was Reece's 2 month birthday (it was also my dad's ___ birthday-you can fill in the blanks with his age!) As celebration for their birthdays and 30th anniversary this month, my parents went to Myrtle Beach, probably not the best time, but that's alright. Hope you had fun, mom and dad!

Birth: 7lbs.3 oz 20.5 inches long

One Week: 7lbs.14 oz 20 inches long

One Month: 10lbs. 14 oz 22.5

His two month appointment is Monday, any guesses on how big he'll be?? I'm thinking he's pushing 14 pounds! I'll post the results on Monday!

I must say, I don't like him in black very much, I think it makes him look too old...at least 6 months! (ha ha ha)
